How do I use the kit?

How much of the sample should I use?
A very small sample is sufficient. In general, your sample should be about 20mg or 1-2 drops.
My vial looks empty, can I still use it?
Some of our test kits require very minimal reagent to be effective, while other kits require more. Depending on the kit you buy, there might seem like very little reagent (few drops). Do not worry, as this is intentional. Some kits are designed to have that amount of reagent, and you can still use it.
How reliable are the tests?
While reagent testing is the best method for on-the-spot testing, it is never 100% conclusive. There are many variables that can impact what the reaction looks like. Lighting, impurities, and unwanted substances in your sample may all play a role.
Are your test kits legal?
Yes. Our test kits do not contain any controlled substances or materials.
Is your packaging discreet?
Yes. All orders are shipped in plain packaging with no Test Your Poison logos or product related markings on the outside. For orders outside Canada, an item list has to be included on the shipping label for customs purposes, but we use short-hand to keep everything discreet. For example if you order the Cocaine Purity Test Kit, it will say CP Kit on the label.
How long will it take before I get my order?
We ship all orders the business day after they were placed. For North American orders, regular shipping usually takes between 3 and 10 business days. Please keep in mind that international (outside Canada) orders must pass through customs, which can sometimes add a delay.
How long does the testing liquid last before it expires?
Our reagents come in durable glass ampules that don’t react with the liquid. The testing liquid will last a long time (over 3 years) if you store it appropriately.
Recommendations:
- Store reagents at a cool temperature in the range of 2°–22°C (36°–72°F).
- Store the ampules upright.
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight.
What is your privacy policy? Do you keep my personal information private?
We firmly believe in practicing responsible e-business. Absolutely all information submitted to us is kept private. We do not and will never divulge, sell or reveal any information you submit to anybody. We do not store credit card information after the order is processed. What happens if I misspell my address and my shipment is not delivered?
If there's a misspelling in your address, we cannot be held liable for any issues with the delivery. It's crucial to provide accurate and complete information during the ordering process to ensure a successful shipment. Please double-check your address details before confirming your purchase. Additionally, in such cases, you will need to wait 3-4 weeks for the shipment to be returned to us, afterwards you may be issued a store credit via E-Gift Card for order value less initial + return shipping fees, given the error was not our fault. Once you have received your E-Gift Card, we welcome you to place a new order with us!
What are the consequences of initiating a chargeback for my purchase?
If a chargeback is initiated without prior communication with our customer support, it may lead to being blacklisted from our website. We strongly encourage customers to reach out to us directly to resolve any issues or concerns, as chargebacks should be considered a last resort. Engaging in open communication allows us to work together for a satisfactory resolution and ensures continued access to our services without disruptions.
Can I cancel my order once it has been shipped?
Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled. The shipping process begins promptly to ensure timely delivery. Please review your order carefully before confirming the purchase.
What if I want to return the product after it has been shipped?
If you wish to return a shipped product, you are responsible for shipping it back at your own expense. Once we receive the returned item in satisfactory condition, a refund will be processed. Please refer to our return policy for detailed instructions and eligibility criteria. To initiate a return for a shipped order, please contact our customer support.
